I’m facing a strange issue in my app where all click interactions on mobile devices are delayed by 2-3 seconds due to gtm.js. This issue persists even on high-end phones, but everything works fine on desktop browsers. I haven’t added any event triggers in my code. The only related code is the standard GTM script I included in my index.ejs file:
<!-- Google Tag Manager -->
<script>
(function(w, d, s, l, i) {
w[l] = w[l] || [];
w[l].push({ 'gtm.start': new Date().getTime(), event: 'gtm.js' });
var f = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
j = d.createElement(s),
dl = l != 'dataLayer' ? '&l=' + l : '';
j.async = true;
j.src = 'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id=' + i + dl;
f.parentNode.insertBefore(j, f);
})(window, document, 'script', 'dataLayer', 'GTM-id');
</script>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager -->
<!-- Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
<noscript>
<iframe
src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-id"
height="0"
width="0"
style="display: none; visibility: hidden"
></iframe>
</noscript>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
This problem occurs only with a specific GTM ID. When GTM is removed, the issue disappears entirely.
