Today, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, with Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum, announced a $1 billion USD #investment over the next four years to bolster Mexico's #entertainment industry. This initiative aims to support local production companies and stimulate growth in the audiovisual sector, generating employment and creative opportunities nationwide. Sarandos highlighted Netflix's enduring collaboration with Mexican creators, contributing to a slate of beloved shows and films. "Over the years, we’ve worked with Mexican creators on hundreds of shows and films that have captured the hearts of our audiences," he stated. "With this renewed commitment, we look forward to deepening our partnership even more." This investment aligns with Netflix’s mission to celebrate local storytelling and cultural heritage. Beyond production, it will benefit various sectors like catering, hospitality, and traditional crafts. Netflix will continue to support diverse talent development, ensuring #Mexico remains a beacon of creativity and innovation, sharing its rich cultural heritage with the world.
