The team at resume.io wondered what people worldwide most want to do for a living, so they analyzed search data for 170 countries and found the most popular dream job in each. They also ranked the top 10 dream jobs globally.
In the US, the most-desired job overall is real estate agent, a ranking shared by other countries like Canada, South Africa and Canada. Americans also dream of being a travel agent and a notary, with both roles racking up around 397,200 annual searches each.
Pilot is the world's top dream job, with over 1.3 million global searches a year, followed by real estate agent and software engineer.
In several European countries — such as Sweden, Finland and Romania — the most-wanted occupation is modeling.
Internet personalities and influencers have also proved, well, influential — many people in countries across South America, North America and Asia now dream of being YouTubers, content creators and streamers.
Some countries' dream jobs are pretty unique. Norwegians, for example, want to be an astronaut more than anything else, while Japanese people would love to make a living from fortune telling.
