Enable fast access to Test Records by using the Google Wallet API
The Google Wallet API makes it easy for your users to add their Test Records
to Google Wallet on their phones, providing easy access.
Add to phone from your app or mobile website
Test Records can be stored on the user's Android-powered device, and only
support flows that originate on a mobile device and attempt to add the card
to the Google Wallet.
Device unlock required to access COVID Card
Google Wallet requires the user's device to be unlocked to add or view a
test record. If the user hasn't already set up screen lock, Google Wallet
prompts the user to set up screen lock when they attempt to add a test record.
Explicit, country-specific consent
Test records present explicit, country-specific consent to the user during the
add flow. Users must accept this consent to add the card to their wallet.
Easy access through Android Home screen shortcut
Users can create an Android Home screen shortcut for easy access. After
the user adds the record, they're prompted to save a shortcut to their device's Home screen.
Get started
If you're a developer from an eligible entity, select the COVID vaccination or testing service
box when you request access in the
Google Pay and Wallet Console.
Be sure to provide your
eligibility
documentation. We will then help you get access to the developer documentation
and onboard you.
After you have received approval to issues records,
get started with your
implementation to add records to Android devices.
