Our third employee feature this #BlackHistoryMonth is Organization of Black Professionals ERG member and former Chair, Evan Martin! “Evan is a lifelong baseball junkie with a passion for studying the relationships between subjective and objective baseball information. Prior to joining the Crew, he completed a Mathematics B.S and Strategic Analytics M.S at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He received a scholarship to play Right Field on their baseball team, redshirted as a freshman, and went on to play three seasons, contributing in various roles to one of the more notable offensive performance progressions in NCAA D1 displayed by the Salukis between 2019-2022. Evan realized during his SR season that any future impact on the sport professionally was best suited somewhere within Baseball Operations, where he hoped to leverage his unique combination of STEM educational background and high-level amateur playing experience to contribute to major league wins.” - OBP #ThisIsMyCrew #STEM #EmployeeResourceGroups

We are excited to introduce Dana Montgomery, Co-Chair of the Organization of Black Professionals Employee Resource Group, as our second feature this #BlackHistoryMonth! “Dana’s sports journey started while in college working for Crimson Tide Hospitality in Bryant-Denny Stadium, wrist banding game day guests in the stadium’s suite level. After working in corporate for two years post grad, she took a leap of faith and accepted a position as the Community, Marketing, and Promotions Assistant with the MiLB team the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This leap led her to grow her career in sports and events with the Miami Dolphins Cheer and Military department, the College Football Hall of Fame, and then rounding the bases to join the Crew.” - OBP

This #BlackHistoryMonth we are celebrating our Organization of Black Professionals Employee Resource Group, dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment that will foster professional development, community outreach and cultural awareness. Please meet our first feature in this series, Dontrell Powell, and learn about his journey to the Crew! “Dontrell’s passion for computers started early, with a love for tinkering, building, and repairing. He began as a customer service representative at his last job and transitioned to the I.T. department, leveraging his customer service skills. On-the-job learning and certification studies fueled his knowledge growth. When Dontrell saw the open position at the Brewers, he knew it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. As someone who initially had no affinity for baseball, it has now become something he genuinely enjoys being part of and contributing to the magic behind the scenes.” – OBP ERG

Yesterday, our game day staff in partnership with United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, volunteered at the ballpark by putting together home and wellness kits. These kits are given to those moving from homelessness to a more permanent living situation and were taken to 4 local programs after the event. It was a great way to bring together our staff while helping those in our community! #BeyondtheDiamond #ThisIsMyCrew
