Kansas City is GFiber's hometown, so we're proud to sponsor the University of Missouri-Kansas City Starr Women's Hall of Fame, especially this year, when one of our own inspiring women, Rachel Hack Merlo, was on the planning committee.
It was a pleasure to support the University of Missouri-Kansas City Starr Women's Hall of Fame as a planning committee member this year. The Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing extraordinary Kansas City women and preserving the history of their accomplishments. Seven trailblazing women of the class of 2025 were celebrated at yesterday's induction ceremony. Our community is fortunate to have these stories shared and archived for generations to come. Congratulations to chairperson Michelle Wimes, the UMKC team, and many others who led this year's program. Gratitude to the sponsors, including Google Fiber, for honoring this important work. And thanks to my coworkers Sonya Coleman-Tall, Katie L. and Kyla Manning for attending this special event with me.

Meet Olivia, a future #STEM innovator. She and her dad, Will Novak (GFiber Govt. & Community Affairs Manager), teamed up to build a mini city that demonstrates fiber internet for her science fair project – complete with light-up fiber optic cables! Perfect timing too, because Will's representing GFiber at the City of Chandler, Arizona Innovation Fair tomorrow. Stop by and say hello. 👋

There's so much to do in Chicago's South Loop -- amazing museums, the Adler Planetarium, and the incredible lakeshore. But the local GFiber team can add one more thing to that list: going to work! We're so happy to open our new office in the city. Plus, getting to see Sue the T. Rex at the Field Museum on our lunch break could make this the coolest GFiber office of all! ❤️

We hosted the JeffCo EDC Board of Directors meeting at our Lakewood office today. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with business leaders, city staff, and elected officials from current and future GFiber communities in Colorado. Alberto Garcia, Rachel Collingwood, and George Manthos from our team shared GFiber is not just delivering lightning-fast internet, but also investing in the community. Extra thanks to Westminster Mayor Nancy McNally and Jefferson County Commissioner Rachel Zenzinger for joining us!

Thank you to the Fiber Broadband Association for having us last week at the Regional Fiber Connect! Of course it’s always great to hear from one of our own, and we had the treat of hearing Jason Bone speak with the panel.

A singing mayor? Now that's a State of the City to remember! Thanks for representing us, Will Novak. We're honored to be in the City of Chandler, Arizona.
I had a wonderful time representing Google Fiber at tonight’s City of Chandler, Arizona state of the city by Mayor Kevin Hartke. GFiber is so happy to be in a city with so much heart, courage and brains! And be aware other valley mayors, Mayor Hartke closed with a song! A parody of “somewhere over the rainbow” all about his city! The gauntlet has been thrown down for state of the city addresses!
