One thing I find helpful is really focusing on mutual respect. I think it’s important to foster environments where faculty and staff can interact whether it’s at events or collaborating on projects together where each party can showcase their skills and contributions. When there is a personal relationship supporting the professional one there can be more investment from both sides.
