Communities are a dedicated space for you and your audience to connect with each other right from your channel. In your Community, your subscribers can start discussions, share pictures, and more.
You can choose whether or not you want to have a Community for your channel. Learn more about how to moderate your Community.
Note: Starting a Community may not yet be available to you. Communities are only available on the YouTube mobile app. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.
Turn on your Community
- In the YouTube app, go to your channel page.
- Tap Go to Community.
- Read the info about getting started.
- Tap Turn on my Community.
The option to turn on a Community isn’t yet available to all creators.
Write a welcome post
Once you’ve turned on your Community, you can write a welcome post for your subscribers.
- In the YouTube app, go to your channel page.
- Tap Community.
- Tap Start a post.
- Write your welcome post.
- Tap Post.
