Important: This feature is only available in Berlin, New York City, Paris, and Tokyo.

In the Google Maps app, you can report train delays at nearby stations. You can also view and vote on delays that others have reported.

Report train delays

Important: To report a delay, you need to sign in to your Google Account.

If the Report delay option appears on the station page of a nearby train station, follow these steps to report a delayed train that was scheduled to arrive or depart soon:

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Search for the train station.
  3. In the search results, tap the train station.
  4. Under the station name, tap Report delay .
    • Tip: If Report delay doesn’t appear, it means there are no lines available to report.
  5. Select which line is delayed.
  6. Tap Done.
    • If you want to select a different line, tap Undo.

View and vote on delays reported by other users

Delays reported by other users appear as alerts in the Google Maps app. These alerts show how long ago the delay was reported and how many users confirmed the delay.

If you get an alert and are asked to vote on whether there are still delays:

  • To confirm a delay report, tap Yes.
  • If the train line is no longer delayed, tap No.
  • If unsure about the delay report, tap Not Sure.
