When Gemini Apps Activity is on, Google stores your Gemini Apps activity in your Google Account. You can review your prompts, delete your Gemini Apps activity, and turn off Gemini Apps Activity in My Activity at any time.

Important: This article covers Gemini Apps activity for a personal account. If you use Gemini Apps with a work or school account, you can't manage Gemini Apps activity for that account, like turn off activity, delete activity, or change auto-delete settings. Find your Gemini Apps activity
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity
.
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
Tips to find specific Gemini Apps activity
- For conversations with Gems, the Gem used is noted in your Gemini Apps activity.
- For Gemini Live chats, the related transcripts are saved in Gemini Apps Activity if it’s on. We're gradually releasing an update that will also save recordings of your Live chats in your Gemini Apps Activity if it’s on. If an activity includes audio from your Live chat, there's an audio icon
below it.
Delete your Gemini Apps activity
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity
.
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
- Choose the Gemini Apps activity you want to delete. You can choose:
- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, click Delete
All time.
- The last hour or day: Above your activity, click Delete
Last hour or Last day.
- A specific time period: Above your activity, click Delete
Custom range.
- A specific day: Next to the day, click Delete all activity from [day]

- A specific activity: Next to the activity, click Delete activity item
.
- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, click Delete
What happens when Gemini Apps activity is deleted
- If a conversation with a Gem is deleted, it doesn’t delete the Gem. Learn how to delete your Gems.
- If a shared chat is deleted, it doesn’t delete the related public link. Learn how to delete a public link.
- If either the audio or transcript of a Gemini Live chat is deleted, both are deleted.
Turn off Gemini Apps Activity
Important:
- If you’re 18 or over, Gemini Apps Activity is on by default.
- If Gemini Apps Activity is off, any Gems you create will still be saved to your account. Any chats you create with Gems will not be saved. Learn more about what happens with your data when you use Gems.
To turn off Gemini Apps Activity:
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity
.
- Near the top, click Turn off
Turn off or Turn off and delete activity.
- Even when Gemini Apps Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.
Change Auto-delete settings
By default, your Gemini Apps activity older than 18 months is auto-deleted. You can turn off Auto-delete or change the auto-delete period to 3 or 36 months.
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity
.
- Near the top, click Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
How your Gemini Apps activity is deleted from your Google Account
When you choose to delete activity manually or activity is deleted automatically, we immediately start the process of removing it from the product and our systems.
First, we aim to immediately remove it from view. Then, we begin a process designed to safely and completely delete the data from our storage systems.
