Build trust, increase transparency, and get access to more features by completing advertiser verification. You’ll just need to complete a few tasks, such as answering a few questions about your organization. After getting verified, some of your info will appear in ad disclosures and the Ads Transparency Center, which provides context about an advertiser and their ads.

Tasks required for verification
Google Ads will notify you via an in-account notification or an email when you need to complete advertiser verification.
To start verification, you’ll answer a few questions about your organization and complete some required tasks. These tasks will vary depending on your account, billing setup, and other factors. Only a Google Ads account admin can complete the tasks.
After you’re verified, your advertiser name and location will appear in ad disclosures, My Ad Center, and Ads Transparency Center. Learn more about Ads transparency.
Given a deadline?
Your account will be paused if you don’t complete advertiser verification by the deadline. You can see your deadline on the advertiser verification page. It’s important to start early since it can take up to 5 business days for Google Ads to review the info that you submit.

No deadline?
You may choose to get verified on your own. You may want to do this to:
- Proactively get verified
- Get access to more ad formats and features, such as your business name and logo in Search Ads
- Remove limits from your account
It can take up to 5 business days to review your task. In rare cases, review time can take up to 30 days. You can still run ads if you don’t complete advertiser verification.
Account paused?
You’ll be able to run ads again only if you complete advertiser verification.
Completing verification to appeal a suspension?
You’ll be able to get access to the appeal form only if you complete advertiser verification.
How to start a task
You may be asked to complete one or more of the tasks listed in the next section. To start a task, check your status, or retry a task, follow these steps:
- In your Google Ads account, click the Billing icon

- Click Advertiser verification.
- Click Start task and follow the provided instructions.
Tasks for everyone

Answer a few questions about your organizationYou’ll need to answer a few questions about the type of organization and who pays for the ads. If you manage ads for a client, make sure that you select Yes for "Is your organization an agency?" for the ad disclosure. Otherwise, your account may be paused or suspended. |

Submit your documentsYou’ll submit personal info and a government-issued photo ID . See the list of acceptable documents for your country.

Confirm your phone numberYou’ll enter a phone number and confirm a 6-digit code that will be sent to your phone.

Confirm your social security number (US only)You’ll submit personal info, including your SSN.

Take a video selfieYou’ll submit your government-issued photo ID and take a video selfie. Only an admin on the payments profile can complete this task. If your ID and video selfie don’t match after 5 attempts, you’ll need to contact us. |
Tasks for organizations

Provide your Dun & Bradstreet infoYou’ll enter your organization’s info and you’ll have the option to provide your D-U-N-S number. Learn more about D‑U‑N‑S® enrollment.

Submit your organization’s documentsYou’ll enter your organization’s info and submit your organization’s documents. Refer to the list of acceptable documents for your country. The name and location on the payments profile must exactly match your legal name and location on any documents that you submit. If the name doesn’t match, make sure to edit your payments profile name by clicking on the pencil icon Using a trade or DBA name? Provide your client’s infoFor Google Grants accounts, the business name of the profile you choose must match the grantee's name. If you’re required to submit documents, you’ll need to submit the grantee’s documentation. Learn more about Document requirements for advertiser verification.
As an agency, you can either:
You can only see the payments profiles that you're an admin for. Don’t see a certain payments profile? You'll need to contact the payments profile’s admin and send a link with the task to the admin. This won’t affect the Google Ads account billing setup or give new access to the Google Ads account. If the selected payments profile hasn't been verified, you’ll need to complete a separate advertiser verification for your client. This means you'll be asked to complete one or more tasks listed above under Organization or Individual, depending on your client’s account type. After the payment profile is verified, the agency will be notified by email. As a client, you’ll need to:

To run ads for certain industries, you’ll need to meet additional criteria, which may include applying for certification, verification or completing certain tasks.
