It was a good read, I really don't see it as a horror, the guy following him and them from place to place was just a little too much like the plot of watchers. All in all a good guy, a very good book.

Wow, very mixed reviews. I'm noticing a trend in the negatives, though. That is that their negative reviews have little to do with the quality of the actual story. Yes, Koontz has the tendency to be overly descriptive. This annoys me greatly. And yes, the bad Guy was REALLY bad. I don't think a bad Guy being too bad for a person's taste fairly warrants a bad review of the book as a whole. Especially since he doesn't really even pop up all that often. Its a great chase story. Read it.

I could only hope true selflessness and human kindness could exist, because I know for certain the evil within is real. Magnificently written and basic (compared to Mr. Koontz's other publications,) yet desperately captivating storyline. I am never disappointed... Until it ends :(
