LATEST UPDATE - MAJOR FAIL! The new pop-up when copying/moving files is inconvenient and time consuming. This makes it difficult if you have quite a few files you are moving and searching for the correct folders to put them in. The ability to search inside the files has been left out too. You can't even use the back button or the split screen during this copy/move feature because it cancels out the process. So much for using a smartphone to MOVE forward into the future, it's back to a computer!

The last update is terribly unfriendly if you have nested folders. Hitting the move or copy button opens a new window to the root: if you're copying to a subfolder, for example, you have to browse back down the tree to get back to where you were. Temporary fix: go to the App settings for My Files (long-press the icon and press the Info button, or go to Settings > Apps > My Files), hit the three dots in the upper right, then hit Uninstall Updates.

App doesn't show any file extensions or have settings to show file extensions. Out of no where, chrome downloaded file types changed with download location mid Feb 2025 before when use to be pdf. Samsung service chat is clueless about the app to help. Creates security risk no one can afford now days. As a new S24 Ultra user this is a common Samsung google inconsistency or a too common security risk . Opening a file brings up coercing download any app that opens unknown file extension.

What’s new

- When searching the internal storage, you can immediately add or delete Favorites while checking the folder route.
- When compressing files, you can strengthen the security by entering a password. Compressed files with passwords can also be unzipped.
- “Analyze storage” now shows you how much storage is being used by file type on OneDrive/Google Drive.
