I can't speak to how much this assists with security, but from a user perspective this app is extremely disruptive. Recently I needed to get e-tickets from my email & couldn't because this app had placed a hold until I "rechecked". Without signal, this couldn't happen and so I couldn't access my tickets. I've had several experiences like the above. It seems to want to check indiscrimiately & prevents me using several MS apps when I need to. I'm probably going to have to delete the app.

I installed it, set it up and it worked once. I opened teams again, and it told me I had to do a setup & had to install this app. I went to app, and it showed to be installed, then offered to let me open it. I clicked "open" and it took me to a dead end with info about the app. Round and round. I need it for work, so I'll keep jumping through hoops. Very frustrating.

As usual, not a well thought out/horrible Microsoft management product. It allows only one account to manage the device, breaking any additional AD logins for Teams or Email which also require device management. Next to that, it's once again a glorified data stealer of Microsoft to get access to data on your device it shouldn't have in the first place. This app has no right/use-case to access your media (photos & videos), contacts, etc.
