Meh. Content is good, but the app for the Samsung TV is glitched. And there's no auto play feature for the phone app. So you have to go in and hit play for the next episode manually every time, which is a pain. It doesn't have a skip recap or intro option, which most apps do now. It also doesn't remember your subtitle preferences, so you have to turn those back on for every episode. All in all, the content is good, but the app itself seems way out of date. They have some catching up to do.

I have had BritBox for a long time through Amazon Prime, but I want to cancel Prime and was glad to see that BritBox is available as a standalone subscription/app in the US. I downloaded the app and started casting from my Android phone to my Chromecast, and it works great except for stopping after each episode. I need it to keep playing without intervention--at least a few episodes--like every other app does. This is unfortunately a deal breaker. Please fix!

Update 5/26/24 Still no pop the picture out or doing anything else while watching Britbox, Can't tap earbud to stop playing, or take earbud out to stop playing. Basic functionality that other streaming services like Prime and Netflix have (and have had for years), Britbox still doesn't have. Would love to see this app catch up with this type of basic functionality. **Update 2/20/25 none of these features have been added. What good is our feedback?
