Did you know that some of the ads you receive in apps are customized based on predictions about your interests generated from your app usage? AppChoices gives you choices about whether you receive this type of advertising that is based on cross-app data collected over time across different apps and devices. To opt out with a particular company, simply set the switch next to the company’s logo from “ON” to “OFF”. AppChoices lets you decide which, if any, participating companies deliver interest-based advertising to your device.
When it comes to ads in your apps based on your interests, it’s your choice.
You may still receive other types of advertising in your apps from participating DAAC companies, and these companies (and other apps) may still collect information for other purposes consistent with the DAAC Principles. It's a good idea. However, WHY DO I NEED ANOTHER APP WHEN THIS CAN BE DONE ON A WEB PAGE? I can do the same exact thing on a secure web page and not use phone resources! Also, some companies having issues with letting you opt-out from? There were about 4 or 5 companies that no matter what, I couldn't opt out from! What is the point if you can only opt out for some and not others? 2 stars because it's pretty straight forward & easy, but not useful for all companies and not necessary as an app.

This app is clear and educational and it is easy to use. It is a big step in the effort to limit the ads that appear on my phone. For removing of ads, which had become a real challenge to my daily if not constantly being presented with un-wanted advertising, I have used this to remove nearly 99% of all add off my devices. Use it, read through and learn about this Problem, in our agreement s, with these media and internet usage agreement. Then, clear them out.

It would be great if it could help me get rid of PowerinBox. ** Edit 2020- I bought a bass guitar a few weeks and now I'm getting ads for violins on every single page I visit. 99% of the time it's the same one over and over. Why can't I click on the ad and say I don't want to see it anymore, show me something else if you must put your ads on every page. I did complain once about sexually suggestive ads and I haven't seen anymore since. I'm going to try this app again and see if it helps.
