What is the exam?

The Google Play Store Listing Certificate exam is designed to assess your knowledge of specific topics related to the Google Play Store including how to create a Google Play Store listing, complying with store listing policies, understanding your audience, optimizing your store listing with experiments, and using custom store listings to drive user acquisition.

  • The exam is timed and you cannot pause or restart it.
  • The 5-hour timer begins immediately after you begin the exam.
  • Once you answer a question, you cannot backtrack to answer any previous questions. You will have an opportunity to review and change answers to all questions before you submit the exam.

Important: You need a strong and reliable internet connection to complete the exam.

How much does the exam cost?

The exam is available at no charge.

What if I don't complete the exam in the allotted time?

You have 5 hours to complete the exam. If you finish early, you can manually submit the exam. When the 5 hours end, the exam automatically submits. If the exam automatically submits, it doesn't mean that you failed the exam. Your exam will be evaluated based on the responses submitted.

What if I exit or leave the timed exam early?

If you leave or exit the exam early, your answers will be automatically submitted and you will not be able to resume the exam. If you fail the exam as a result of leaving it early, you must wait 24 hours before retaking it. A failed attempt as a result of leaving early will count as 1 of your 4 allowed attempts.

When do I find out how I did on the exam?

You receive an immediate pass or fail confirmation, after you submit your exam.

  • If you pass, you will receive emails with instructions on how to access your digital certificate and a link to opt in to the Google Play Academy Certificates Alumni Network.
  • If you fail, you receive an email that tells you when you can retake the exam.

Note: To protect the integrity of the certification, we do not communicate candidate scores, or where candidates did well or poorly on the exam.

I passed the exam. What happens next?

Once you pass the exam, you will receive 2 emails:

  1. You will receive a "Congratulations" email from Google Play Academy. This email will come from notify@playacademy.exceedlms.com. It will include instructions on how to join the Google Play Academy Certificates Alumni Network
  2. Additionally, you will receive an email from Accredible within one week of passing the exam. The email will come from support@credential.net, and will contain a link to claim your digital credentials.

What if I fail?

If you attempt the exam and do not pass, the exam will be temporarily "locked" for 24 hours before you can take it again. You are allowed 4 attempts to pass the exam. You can retake the exam by visiting the same study guide link where you took the first attempt.

What was my score in the exam?

To protect the integrity of the exam, we do not communicate candidate scores, how candidates performed, or our minimum passing score criteria.

How many attempts do I have to pass the exam?

You can attempt to pass the exam 4 times.

How long is a certificate valid?

Your certificate expires 36 months after you receive your digital badge. To renew your certificate, you will need to pass the exam again.
