    It discounts purchases on Amazon. I pay the bill monthly by bank withdrawal no problems.
    The card is made of metal that cannot be shredded. They sent me an envelope to return my card when my renewal card was sent to me. I sent the old card back in that envelope and someone intercepted it from where I left it to be picked up for mail. When strange charges showed up from Florida, they immediately contacted me and mailed me a new card. I was overseas at the time. I was not responsible for the charges I did not make. This card also does not charge for currency conversion and I don't recall that there is a membership fee. It is a very useful card and one I can trust. Thank you Amazon and AMEX for something that remains simple, serviceable and good in this age of upselling services and offloading responsibilities.
